The idea of this website came from a simple question. How much had San Juan Basin Gas production decreased in the last few years?

 

I thought it would be an easy question to answer using a simple internet search. Both the New Mexico Oil Conservation Division (NMOCD) and the Colorado Oil and Gas Conservation Commission (COGCC) release monthly oil and production numbers. However, nobody tabulates that data and makes it available in a graph. At least I could not find any such graphs. So I decided to make the graph and thought it was interesting enough to share.

Change is happening! I plan on updating production rates monthly and adding new stats as they become available and I think of it.

About Me:

I moved up to Durango Colorado in 1996 and began working in the San Juan Basin as a well-site geologist. In 2005 I started Laramide Geoservices, LLC. During the great recession I started a Software Company (HMG Software). In 2019 I closed my well-site geology company. I currently live in Albuquerque, NM and Gem Village, CO.
